Hawaii Here we Come!

It is confirmed. We are off to Maui in May. Even better... we will be there for Mother's Day! We got a great deal. My mom and my Nana get 4 free tickets each. So there was an extra 3 for my family if we wanted them. Micah is free. So we would only have to pay for one air plane ticket. Of course were going! With were my mom works she is also getting a deal on our very, very favorite resort hotel. The Grand Wailea Resort. It is just gorgeous! So we will be there for three days and then another 4 days at Jared's parents condo. We are all so excited to go. Now to start getting my booty bathing suit ready...

Easter Egg Idea

I have found a new idea for Easter eggs that we will be trying this year. I found the idea in this months REAL SIMPLE magazine. Thanks Brooke for lending it to me. They look pretty cute and very easy and hence the magazine name, simple. You just wrap rubber bands around the eggs in a pattern and then dip them in the dye. When the eggs are dry then you remove the bands and you have neat patterns. Nothing fancy but I thought the idea was cute and it's different from the traditional plain dyed eggs.

It's War

If you have ever been to our house when we have our Nerf gun wars then you know what it is like. Tables up for barricades, hundreds of little darts all over the house, everyone running and hiding behind funiture and running around the whole house trying to get each other. We often have these wars. The boys against the girls, me and the kids against Jared, the kids and Jared against me. I often end up being the target for some reason. Probably because I am the easiest to get. This is what happens when you are out numbered by the boys. Well, today we had another one of our wars and I just had to finally get a picture of how they get into their gear. We don't have enough gear for me but that is just fine.

Let's, Play Ball!

Opening Day was this past Saturday and had us up at the crack of dawn. 6 am to be exact. We got there and there was a parking lot full of players and about 20 trucks decorated with balloons and the whole nine. It was an exciting day as the kids were all in their clean new uniforms with doughnuts and orange juice in hand ready to start the new season off right. Yes it is just T-Ball but this league takes baseball seriously. At least for this age it is just for the fun but they get to see what team unity is all about. He was very excited not only to start playing baseball but because Jared is also one of his coaches. I left a little early to see the floats come down the street accompanied by the fire department. The kids in the back of the trucks waving and chanting their team name. "Go RED SOX!" It was very exciting and fun to watch. With a little ceremony of saying the Pledge of Allegience, singing the National Anthem and a visit from a former Dodger to excite the kids it was time to play ball. He had his first game and was first up to bat and he hit it pretty far. It was a great first game. This will be a great first baseball season for him. Here's to baseball filled weekends. How fun!
