the BEST!

They are my neighbors. I couldn't ask for a better group of people. They are so wonderful to me and my family. I am always asking myself how can I ever thank them enough for the continuous help they have given to me? They were so giving during the holidays and they have saved us at times we didn't know what we were going to do. Some of them also happen to be families of my kids friends.

I love that they make it fun for the kids during Halloween and play "We've been Bood!" Getting the whole neighborhood involved. For the holidays I probably got so many plates of treats and gifts. I probably didn't need to make as many goodies as I did. Then there was the horrible week we had a few days after Christmas. Our one and only vehicle (which is also our livelihood) decided to break down on the freeway just before I was to take my mom to the airport. I did not get to see her off. It also happened to be one of the biggest storms we had. So while Jared ended up going to work I had to call all over town asking other snowplow companies to help us out. Our truck wasn't ready for over a week. We used J's uncle and aunts car for a day and then they needed it back. What were we going to do?! All the car rentals were out being that it was the holidays. I somehow ended up telling my neighbors what happened and they let us borrow one of their cars for however long we needed it.
Then there was the time when I needed to go to the kids parent teacher conference because J was working, or the time when I needed to bring treats for Julian's birthday, taking and picking up from birthday parties, babysitting, you name it. And now, my kids have been sick this whole week. One after the other. Saturday night was Tysons turn. He did not sound well at all. His breathing was really labored. I was worried it was going to turn into RSV. I did not want to go through that again. The same people that let us borrow the car let me borrow their humidifier (lost mine in the move somehow). They said if you need to go to the hospital just call us for the car it doesn't matter what time it is. They would watch the kids and everything. Then this morning, my visiting teacher called me (she lives one block over) to see if I needed a ride to church because she knows that when it snows I have no way of getting to church. I told her I wasn't going to be able to go anyway because Tyson was really sick. She said oh well, let me bring you our medication for the nebulizer. So she did and when she dropped it off she said that they would be bringing us dinner tonight. What?! Seriously, so nice!

All of them have truly been my angels. I have never felt so needy in my life! I have never had to ask for so much help before and it is quite humbling. I hate it really. But I am so glad we are here. This is definitely where we need to be right now. We have made it for 6 months now without a car. I didn't even know how we were going to deal having one car and 4 kids but it has worked out. But it is getting to the point where we are starting to really need one now. It's starting to get a little rediculous. It's not going to be anything nice but I don't care at this point. Just something to get around.

I am truly grateful for all the people that have been so wonderful to us during this crazy time. You all know who you are and I hope that one day I will be able to help you the way you have helped me.

What a blessing to be surrounded by angels! I feel the same way about our neighbors. Good luck in your search for a car.
