Questions Answered

So I guess I didn't give too much information as to where in Park City we will be living. We are not buying a house at this time. We were actually wanting to buy a house in California but we were waiting for the housing market to go down. Now we figure it is better to wait to buy a house and see when business picks back up. Instead we will be renting Jared's parents house that they no longer live in. It is a great deal because it will be about half of what we are paying here and much much bigger to fit our growing family. Probably too big for me in the fact that it is so much to clean. But the kids will have so much room and they love the house. Jared's parents now have a condo pretty much right down the street from where we will be and we will be in the same ward as them. It is again exciting but still so sad. It's bittersweet.

BIG Decision...to Move On...

At least for now. Times are tough here in California especially in the line of work that Jared does. It has gotten pretty slow here so we have decided to wait it out in Park City, Utah. We are moving there and I have mixed emotions about it. On one hand I am going to miss my mom and the rest of my family and will miss my wonderful, unreplaceable friends and our GNO's, Jared's Nanna and Grandpa and of course the weather. And on the other hand I am excited about a change and being around Jared's family. The kids will have a great place to live and learn to snowboard or ski. It is all very emotionally draining. I am in tears some of the time and trying not to think to hard about the people I will miss the rest of the time. Jared will still be coming to California to work during the week when there is work. Our hope is that when things pick back up here then we can come back. But for now this is what we feel is best for our family. We are planning to leave either the first of second week in December. We are very sad to leave those of you that are here and the memories that we have made but I hope that we will always keep in touch and visit.

Husband Tag

So I have been tagged and I think I did this same tag last year but that is okay because it is always fun. So here are the rules... Each person answers questions about their sweethearts and at the end of the post you tag 4 people and post their names, then go to their blog and comment to them that they have been tagged.

What is your husband's name? Jared Devar Dahl
How long have you been married? Six years
How long did you date? a little over a year
How old is he? 31
Who eats sweets? It's a toss up. We both love them.
Who said I Love You first? He did. He was giving me a back rub and wrote it on my back.
Who is taller? He is.
Who can sing best? I can but not by much.
Who is smarter? We both are smart but all I know right now is stuff that has to do with being a mom and wife. I should get something of my own going so I feel a bit more challenged.
Who does the laundry? I do 100% of the time
Who pays the bills? Me again
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are in bed he does.
Who mows the lawn? Thank you gardeners!
Who cooks dinner? I do. Sometimes he will do pancakes on Sundays like his dad did as a kid. A tradition.
Who drives? He does
Who is the first to admit they are wrong? He is. I am a little too stubborn.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me first
Who asked who out first? He asked me out first. We met at the airport. He was on my plane to Hawaii and on my plane the way back. So when we got back to LA off the airplane he then asked me out.
Who wears the pants? We both do.

I have tagged:
Brooke (I think I tagged you this one last time too)
Beth
Maria
Leah

Four wheeling in Cali

Even though four wheeling is usually done in Utah (or that is where we are used to doing it) or the desert mainly, we decided to break out the four wheelers we got last summer while in Big Bear. Is it breaking the law to ride these things in the street?? Oh well. Well that is what we did this weekend. Jared finally got some more gas put in them and the kids had fun on them riding in our cul de sac and it's nice that our driveway wraps around and was a track for them. Anyone want to come over and ride with us? Just let us know.

Five plus One equals Six

I was debating on whether or not to share this now or wait but since Jared has decided he just couldn't hold it in any longer and has already shared, I will too. We are a family of five soon to be a family of six. Yes folks you heard me right. I am pregnant. We are on to baby #4 and so so excited. I still have yet to go to the doctor but I am guessing I am at 8 weeks. My doctor can't get me in until the 21st. That is the reason that I was planning on waiting to tell everyone. There are so many other emotions and thoughts that pregnancy brings that I so am not looking forward to. The fact that my energy will be gone and I will be asleep on the couch by 8 pm or the fact that I just can't decide what to eat because nothing sounds good. The fact that I can hardly breathe or be able to sleep on my back and stomach or just be plain uncomfortable. SO not looking forward to that, BUT.... I am looking forward to holding a new little one. The wonderful smell that newborn babies have and the little feet and toes that I just love. We are very excited and can't wait for this little one to arrive.

Bedtime Ritual

These are a couple of photos I have taken of Payton on different nights. Now obviously I don't put her to bed like this. I just have to laugh whenever I go to check on her. I never know how she is sleeping and it is always something she is wearing, where she ended up falling asleep or what she ends up sleeping with. Whatever helps her get to sleep.

Fall is Here

I just love when the seasons change and right now I am ready for fall to be here. I am done with this 100 degree weather. We woke up and it was rainy outside and the smell of fall was in the air. It was a great day to stay in bed and watch conference, get out my fall decorations and do some baking. And that is just what I did.
