Lately we have had a lot of "first" times with Julian. This past weekend was his first basketball game. It was too cute! They are 4 and 5 year olds and a lot of them really know what they are doing. Julian is still trying to get the hang of how the game is played but he did good. Also he had his first trip to the dentist. He did great. They just gave him a little cleaning and showed him all the tools. He liked the dentist and they made his first time special with Spiderman tatoos and stickers, a balloon, and a new toothbrush. The kids are getting older now and so there will be a lot more "first times". Now all the fun begins...
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY CAMERA. PICTURES WILL BE UP SOON.

Not a Very Good Day
So today was not a fun day. Julian and Micah had their 4 year and 3 month check up at the docotors. Let me just tell you it was total craziness. I had Julian running around hiding from me while I was trying to get him undressed while Payton is telling me "stop Mom leave him alone". Julian then had to take a vision test and a urine test. Meanwhile I have no idea where Payton is and the nurses are trying to stop Micah from crying because I left him right outside the bathroom door so I could help Julian. Then Julian had to get three shots and Micah got two shots. One right after the other. Trying to console two kids is tough. I had Micah crying and Julian with tears streaming down his face telling me that "this was not a very good day Mom" (so sad). It is so tough seeing your kids in pain and them thinking that you did this to them on purpose. I know Julian thought that. It never gets easy. Still, everytime it makes me want to cry and I do. But then we all got over it. Micah fell asleep and I told Julian what a brave boy he was and told him he could have a treat. He chose McDonalds over ice cream. So that is what we did to make this very bad day to be now an okay day per Julian.

Easter
Easter and Spring Break are over. Although we didn't do much for Spring Break, it was nice to have Julian home and not have to be ready and out the door in the morning. We did Easter crafts and got ready for Easter. On Saturday we took Julian to see TMNT, which he was dying to see and then we dyed eggs. I don't know about you but dyeing eggs always seems so fun and then it ends up being a little chaotic. The kids seem to end up with the dye all over them or all over the table. I guess that is the fun of it right?
This year I decided I would have Easter dinner at my house. So I was up cooking, setting the table and doing Easter baskets. Sunday morning we were up bright and early for the egg hunt and looking for the baskets that the Easter bunny hid. Payton's was in her favorite hidding spot under the dining table and Julian's was hiding behind the plant in the living room. I know Micah could care less where his was or that he even had one, but I still had to do one for him. We were then off to church at 9 am.
We came home from church and my family came over for Easter dinner. I didn't have to do all the cooking. Just the ham, green bean casserole, apple torte and Jared's must -Nanna's rolls. My mom and Nana helped with the rest. We had a little emergency in the kitchen though. My poor mom picked up a really hot pan and had second degree burn on both hands. So she couldn't do much the rest of the day. We attempted to take a family photo but the kids were a little too tired and it didn't come out that well.

It was a busy day but I can't forget the real reason for this wonderful holiday. Sometimes you just get wrapped up in all the fun. I am so thankful for our Savior and for his sacrifice and his resurrection. He has blessed me and my family in so many ways. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter as me and my family had.
